Stomach fat, how to get rid of it?
My tummy has become so big! I just don’t know what to do to get rid of it. I never had a tummy before, I used to have some abs now I look like I am pregnant!
What types of foods should I eat for my tummy to go down? Anyone know of anything, or have had this same problem?
All you can do is basic exercise and watching your diet. It’s not possible to get rid of fat from one particular part of your body. Your body will basically decide where it will store fat and burn it from. Crunches won’t do a whole lot for you until you burn off the fat with cardio. Also, strength training will help because the more muscle you have, the more calories you’ll burn. I hope this helps!
I know there are a lot of ads out right now about diets that will directly get rid of belly fat, but Michele is right, they don’t work. You have to burn the fat and the only way to do that is cardio. Weight training really helps to build muscle and tone you up, but you won’t really see the toned muscle until you get rid of the fat. Sorry, not an easy answer.
Jogging is great for all round body firming. When you jog, you automatically suck in your stomach for support. But you cant really directly target your belly fat. But certain things are thought to contribute to belly fat like alcohol and processed foods like white bread, white pasta, white rice etc.
I had never had belly fat until after I turned 40 and the only thing that has made it flatten back to normal is when I lose weight. I do the Cathe Friedrich Step aerobic beginner/intermediate tape nightly and at the end there is a killer ab workout with it. It took me about a week to be able to make it through the whole workout but I do feel that it also has helped to flatten my tummy. When I lost weight in 2007 all I did was watch my calories and do this dvd and my tummy got nice and flat again. So just keep on working on losing pounds and your stomach will go down with the rest of you! You can do it!
