I am at an all time low…someone help, please

Well, I haven’t been on the site in months, and I feel so horrible. I am at an all time low. I weigh 154. I can’t even believe it! I am not doing well. I am having real trouble eating right and finding time to exercise and do the things I am suppose to do. I started a new job a month ago and we are sitting 6 hours a day. I am in training now, so that’s why we are always sitting at the computer. I am hoping in the next few weeks when that is over things will get more active. But I can’t blame the job. I blame myself. I am always looking for the easy way in things. I am hungry so I will eat something quick and convenient and not good for me.  I am thinking of going on Nutrisystem. I think that will help me because I will have all the food and I will know what to eat instead of searching for things.  Another thing is I need to start getting on the treadmill. I have to wake up early or just do it when I get home even if I am tired.. I need to find TIME.   I just don’t know what to do………..

    Jenny,
Take a deep breath… you have been successful in losing weight in the past and you can do it again. I think you did great taking an inventory of things that went wrong and resulted in some weight gain. A change in work environment with added stress of training, low motivation, and lack of support from buddy slimmers and others who are losing weight.

Now you just need to focus on implementing a new plan that might include scheduling walking breaks during your workdays and exercising more, starting blogging again and getting more support here, and watching your food intake. Nutrisystem is a good first step to become accountable and eat in moderation.

Don’t despair. We all have been there…

    Hi there,

I found your blog, and I can relate. I go up and down with my motivation all the time. I am so happy to have found this place, because I believe it will keep me motivated. I see that you have been gone for a while. Maybe coming back more regularly and making yourself accountable will help…just my .02 cents.

Don’t be too hard on yourself. Don’t get me wrong, if you’re not somewhat hard, it is easy to become complacent and let things slide, but don’t get so hard that you just give up. You can do this!

Nutrisystem would probably help but can be expensive. You just need to make gradual changes in your eating habits and make them a part of your life. If you go back to your old ways you will gain weight. I have lost 25 pounds since February mainly by making gradual changes in my eating habits. I don’t drink as much coke as I used to. I drink zero calorie drinks like Crystal light and different flavored teas. It has really helped me. Also, I don’t eat as much junk food as I used to. I have started eating salads. I even eat cereal for breakfast now. I just started exercising a month ago but haven’t lost much - it is frustrating but at least I am maintaining my weight. I would like to lose another 25-30 pounds. I know how hard it is to exercise when you are tired but it will make you feel better! I work 10 hour days. I am at the computer all day! I ride a stationary bike in the evenings while watching Scrubs or some other comedy show! It helps to make the time go by faster. I also bought lots of work out tapes at the local thrift store (beat the New’s Resolution crowd) to use when I get bored with the exercise bike. Exercise will make you feel better and get more energy to enjoy life. There is a website - memotome.com where you can have them send you a daily email to remind you to work on your goal - mine says - Becky, exercise daily for your health - you will have feel better and have more energy to enjoy life. I hope this information helps you! If you fall off the wagon - just get back on!

Sweetie, I know how you feel. I didn’t log on here for at least a month and to be honest the diet and the exercise has gone out of the window and the weight has crept back up. I have to say it’s almost impossible to keep up with it all without the support of all the buddies here. I hope that now you are back that you can get the support you need to get back on track. Maybe you could try writing a menu for the week? take it shopping so you only buy what you need for those healthy but filling meals all week? Good luck honey.
